a newbie q:
What's the "recursive mode" about?

thx

when you select a folder and add it to a playlist, the recursive mode allows you to add files that are in subfolders as well, you can't do that without recursive mode on.

Correct me if I'm wrong or for English mistakes...

thanks for your help, another question came up in my mind :

- is it possible to select multiple files in a folder (like using shift or ctrl in windows) or do you have to double click them one by one (supposing that double clicks makes add to playlist and i just want some files of a specific folder).

thanks again, cheers

You can maybe solve this by shortcuts. I have:

left click: replace to default playlist
shift+left click: add to default playlist
ctrl+left click: replace to default playlist recursive
ctrl+shift+left click: add to default playlist recursive

With this layout, you'd have to shift+left click the wanted files.

it works thanks for this good technique, kind of "home made" technique for secting multiple files but it works, so thank you.

The last remaining thing I'm wondering about is how to add files not to the end of the playlist but rather after the currently playing file.

Any idea ?  thanks in advance.

Alex

that's what the 'mark' function is for. when you mark a file it will turn bold and you can select multiple files that way. when you perform an action it will be performed on all marked files or folders.

For what purpose?

You can place panels over the playlist using the Layout settings now.

i am using v1.04.6 in foobar 0.9.1 beta 1.
when i click on a cd drive the list of tracks isn't shown in the playlist , but when i click individual tracks from the cd drive within the explorer tree itself they are shown (one each time).
in foobar 0.83 when clicked on audio cd it automatically added the list tagged from freedb.
is it possible to have similar behaviour in 0.9 or at least get the list without the freedb support?

Thanks ,

Amit.

First off, thanx a lot for the plug-in, works like a charm.
I was wondering if it would be possible to disable the vertical scrolling bar ( I'm pretty used to the mouse wheel ) ?

Thanks for updating, JackieKu!

A suggestion, something that uie_explorer is really lacking:

User definable indentation of the tree. It takes too much space at the moment imo.

One of the main reasons i use foo_uie_explorer is the quick access to Audio CDs. But exactly this feature doen't work anymore since porting to O.9.

I get an entry "Audio CD" in the panel but the node don't contain the tracks. It seems to be empty.

Not really sure about what options are available for this plugin since I just started using it, but i'm missing some stuff.
* Ability to make specific folder root (and not show top node).
* Ability to remove the addressbar and arrowbutton.

1) You can add some "favorite folders" as root node.
2) The address bar and the arrow button can be hidden by configurations.

Hello,
good work done so far, i really like it!

But i have a question: is it necessary that a window, showing me which files are scanned, pops up, when i load a directory? I would be pleased if there would be a possibility to turn this off.

I hope you think about my suggestion.
Thanks, neomcnasty

Sorry guys for asking again but can this plugin be used with 0.9.2? I read the thread but I cannot seem to add this panel at all.

I am using version 1.04.6a, Columns 0.1.3beta1v5 and foobar 0.9.2.

Please make it possible to not show the root node of a favorite folder. I only have one favorite folder and I only want to see the folders inside it.
