It's just impossible for me to pick one, even five is too hard. So many albums mean so many things to me that it's just not fair to pick one over another.

Slint - Spiderland
It's an unknown masterpiece, a secret garden. It's the start of many of my favourite groups such as Tortoise or Palace Brothers. I could also have said The Velvet Underground and Nico or Joy Division - Closer, or many more. |

While I would like to second that "Velvet Underground and Nico" suggestion, I thought I'd pick something else...
"Psychocandy" by The Jesus and Mary Chain. Holy Crap it's good. |

Difficult... for Jazz I'd say either:
André Previn plays songs by Vernon Duke or Miles Davis - Kind of Blue Rock... not even going to bother making a choice (although Aenima is a good one to make). But Jazz would really have to be my favorite genre, anyway. I've been listening to it my entire life so far and will be for as long as I'm alive. |

Underworld - Under The Radar(A very early release of a now influential group. It seems almost no one I have found here in America knows about it. Perhaps I would fare better in the UK.)
Also their album "mmmmmm sky scraper. I love you.". I just love that song "cowgirl" It is sucha deviation from their norm. Still abstract but loud, bouncy, and bleepy. I like to crank that song way up. And I guess I can't forget Fluke. It was their single "Atom Bomb" that really matured and expanded my tastes from the hard rock, heavy metal, alternative rut I was in. And got me interested in groups like Underworld. That and I love the video for the single. And the game the video came from. I still play wipeout xl/2097 alot. |

Good song. There is a good version of that song on the new DVD release.
Kinda partial to "Ten Years Gone" myself. And who could forget Kashmir. It's an incredible album. -------------------- Wait Master, it might be dangerous... you go first.

This is damn hard,
"Cherry Poppin' Daddies - Soul Caddy" is my favourite right now, I'm not ready to call it the best ever though. I don't think I could ever pick. -------------------- www.sessions.com.au - Sessions Entertainment

Todd Rundgren - Todd
(I'm assuming this poll isn't based on sound quality, in which case TR couldn't make the top 100 on his best day. A shame considering his talent.) Dex (Although, Healer comes close.) |
