Edit > Sort > Randomize
You can assign this to a button or to a keyboard shortcut. Make sure to use Edit/Sort/Sort/Randomize, not Edit/Selection/Sort/Sort/Randomize. EDIT: For what it's worth, being able to right-click a playlist tab and apply a sort makes a lot of sense. After all, is there anyone who actually applies a sort to only part of a playlist? Is there some guy thinking, "I must listen to randomized Bob Seger but Creedence must be in sequence in this playlist!" I'll have a bunch of tracks in my playlist, perhaps an album, add a bunch more and want to listen to the "extra" tracks in random order. |

A tab context sort would be convenient but I'd actually decline in requesting it. The options I posted earlier, plus the ability to randomize playback (without randomizing the playlist), are more than adequate, IMO.

I said that partially in jest and in relation to right-clicking on a tab. I doubt anyone would expect to right-click on a tab to partially sort a playlist. -------------------- This signature apparently isn't too long.
