any lplex users?

I downloaded the latest version of lplex from sourceforge and unzipped it into a folder under C:Program Files (X86).
I prepared a folder of CD spec wav files by resampling them to 48kHz.
I dragged the folder containing the audio files onto lplex.exe.
The run started.
The program recognized the files and calculated their usage as 45% of a DVD.
Each file was processed and its name displayed in the console window.
The next line displayed is

STAT: Authoring DVD ...

There has been no change displayed in the console window for more than three hours. Search finds no iso file that is supposedly being created by lplex  (where should it be? under what name?)

The last dated entry in the lplex.log is now more than an hour old.
The CPU usage has remained steady at 24%

Is this anything like normal?

To take this long, it seems like the program would have to be carefully crafting each byte individually, polishing it to a mirror finish, hand placing it into the compilation, and killing another chicken to celebrate the arrival of that byte.
