Hi,
on what basis the number of scalefactors bands are decided for each sampling frequency. it may not have any relation with the critical bands because the scalefactor bands varies for sampling frequencies. thanks in advance yash |

It "does" have relation to critical band. It make sense for the scalefactor band segmentation to vary with sampling frequency because fs determines the highest representable frequency.
