LAME Appreciation Month - donation issued

In August, Spoon pushed the idea of a collective donation that would demonstrate appreciation of the LAME project:

Donation has now been received by the main developpers. A total of $1336 has been offered by dozens of people.
We are very gratefull to all those people who donated. More than the amount of money, what is really nice for us is a real demonstration of the fact that people appreciate our works. After 6 years into LAME developement, it is really rewarding for us.

We would also like to thank Illustrate (dBPowerAMP editor) for doubling the donation offered by individuals, bringing to final amount to $2672. It is really nice to see a company spontaneously supporting us.

My wording might not be the best, but I think you got the message: a big thank you to every supporter.

You guys do some excellent work developing the psychoacoustics model you deserve every bit of it for the effort that you put it into ;-D, however I am not a huge fan of this "lobbying" going on the forums here for "certain" projects and not others. It should be universal effort as we are all interested the same research, topics, and projects. I am not just talking about xiph either, because they are always looking for donations as are a lot of other solid projects on here. Imagine how much could be accomplished that way? that's just my two cents though.

Iunno if this has been said, but if I donate another dollar, can you make that figure $1337 ?
