Is there some component out there that can automatically fetch album art instantly when there is none?
Or some alternative so I don't need to search them each time myself, put the image in the folder and rename it to cover.jpg or front.jpg? |

Don't know about automatically fetch. I use mp3tag which lets you download album art (usually only the front cover) from amazon and tags it to the track files. Foobar also has an art tagging option now that lets you search within the foobar player. Have never used it, I tag all with mp3 tag. |

Why automatic? You can't check the quality of images then. I execute Album Art Downloader via button in foobar which makes getting art 2 clicks away. Probably easiest way is to use foo_run if you're not familiar with wsh panel mod.
Command line example to launch AADL (from wiki): "C:\Program Files\AlbumArtDownloader\AlbumArt.exe" /ar "%artist%" /al "%album%" /p "$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)folder.%%extension%%" |

@kraut: Cool. Found out the discogs tagger has an album tagger as well. Problem -well not a problem- is most of my tags are already correct. I don't see myself doing this job again, just to get the album art. Too much of work.
@TheLink: Quite nice, but still a lot of work. @orchid: Ah cool, that's the quickest way until now! My album art viewer is like 200px², so quality isn't really a big of a deal. Thanks! Could you explain more how you make a button with that wsh panel mod you're talking about? Thanks guys. |
