Files reproduction

I have some problems with reproduction of wave files. I have recorded many CD in wave format. There are no problems with many of them that are correctly reproduced. With some files foobar seems incapable to reproduce the correctly recorded files that I have checked with file integrity verifier. If you look at the riproduction bar it seems to slide but you don't see anything in the music spectrum and nothing is listened. Thank you for helping me

Am I right that 'reproduction' means 'playing' and 'recorded' means 'ripped'?

If so, does foobar2000's [main menu: View >] console provide any hints?

Thank you. Yes it's what you say. There is no hint in foobar. For me it's incomprehensible understanding why the file is correctly ripped and when you try to play the file, the reproduction bar slides regularly but, as I've said, the spectrum viewer doesn't show anything as nothing were contained in the file that I've checked with file integrity verifier. Thank you

That means foobar2000 seems to play these files, you do see the progress bar moving, but you can't hear anything and foobar2000's visualizations show nothing?

How does other media players behave if you try to play those files?

Have you the possibility to open one of that probematic files for example in audacity or another audio editor?

Both foobar2000 and EAC supports secure CD ripping

making sure there are no errors during the extraction of audio from a CD.

Under normal circumstances there shouldn't be any difference in terms of audibility. However, EAC & CD ripping questions are regular topics on HA, perhaps you want to read some related threads in our dedicated CD Hardware/Software-forum for more in-depth information.

In the meantime I wonder whether the foobar2000 forum is the appropriate one for your issue: For ripping you used EAC and all media players on your computer are showing an identical behaviour when it comes to playback of these tracks, so it seems not to be a fb2k-specific problem (I know that initially you posted in the 'General Audio'-forum and your thread was moved here, Rinaldo).

I don't think that I can be of further help but it may help others if you could post what foobar2000 says if you do a right-click on one of your misbehaving files, then choose Properties and then the tab Properties: What technical details (Sample rate etc) are listed under "General"?
