Are there any players, or plugins for common ones, that let you set panning and volume per channel for multichannel files? I.e., effectively a mixing console.

I recall there was a foobar2000 plugin for this.
See: http://skipyrich.com/wiki/Main_Page#Channe...hannel_mixer.29 I think the one I used was "foo_channel_mixer", but "Surround pan" also sounds promising. Back in those days I was using foobar2000 v0.9, so these plugins may or may not be compatible with the newer version. -------------------- http://www.last.fm/user/sls/

fb2k doesn't seem to recognize at all the N-channel Vorbis files I'm trying to play. They aren't surround, but multitrack. Winamp and XMPlay do play them, but only the first channel, and as expected with no way to control separate channels.

Well, I'm looking for a simple player/mixer interface, and no decoding to disk.
