Remove Total number of tracks from tree display

I want to remove the display of the number of tracks within brackets from all different view types, how do I accomplish this ?

you can't do it with the default UI panel. i *think* it might be possible with the columns UI album list panel. it's also possible with library tree which is a replacement panel for columns UI only.

edit: you can access library tree as a popup panel from within default UI if you install columns UI and foo_popup_panels.
