1. When 'repeat track' is selected - next track will be next from the list. Can it choose random track and repeat it?
2. When 'repeat track' is selected and playback queue is set - playback queue will be played and last track from queue will be repeated. I expected to use playback queue here as list of tracks which will be played (and repeated) after clicking on 'next' |

1) Edit - Sort - Randomize
2) You could send selected tracks to a new playlist instead of adding them to the playback queue. This post has been edited by xnor: Apr 2 2012, 16:19 |

I don't want to randomize my tracks or create new playlist. I just want to listen music in order which is comfort to me in this moment. This functionality was in winamp few years ago.

Also I don't agree with renaming of topic. Question is in another and it's not general question.
Why queue of tracks has more priority than 'repeat track'? Why after changing from 'random' to 'repeat track' and after choosing 'next track' those track doesn't choose randomly? |

Also I don't agree with renaming of topic. Feel free to request a preferred name via the Report button or a private message; moaning about it in a public thread is discouraged per TOS #7. In any case, your original title was not at all descriptive.QUOTE Question is in another and it's not general question. Please read the rules of Support. General is the right place for this thread. Without wanting to wave around my status or any of my statistics, do you think you have a better idea than me about which threads should go in which subforum?I’m only responding in public this once because you did. Please keep further off-topic discussion out of this thread. This post has been edited by db1989: Apr 3 2012, 15:42 |

1. So if the "next" button plays the next track in the list, then guess what the "random" button does?
2. The queues origin purpose is to override the playback order, so it behaves like it should. Let's say your playback order is shuffle or random: adding some tracks to queue will override the playbackorder and play the queued tracks in desired order. Or your playback order is default and you just want to hear a selection and not the whole of an album: you add the tracks to queue. Hope you see that your experience is what should be expected once the purpose of the queue is understood. What you can do is to add the repeated track from the beginning as many times to the queue as you like to hear it and the continue filling the queue with other tracks. -------------------- german support forum: www.foobar-users.de / user: qwert73

I want this track to be repeated and when I click on 'next track' - next track from queue should be played and repeat while 'repeat track' is choosen. If it's really impossible - it'll be sad. But I hope that in future it will be done. Foobar is really good player and this improvement can make it even better, I think. |

If it's really impossible - it'll be sad. No, it is sad that you are so ignorant: you have heard two solutions and one explanation, there is really nothing more i/we can tell you. Sorry!Edit What at all is your problem in point1? if you press next, the next track is choosen - if you press random, a random track is choosen. In both cases the new track will be repeated. I guess he overlooked Playback - Random (not Playback - Order - Random!) like I did.

Guys, I don't need to change sort of tracks. I don't need to change order in my playlist. Queue and random differs from changing order of tracks.
I used functionality which I described in another player. If previously was choosed 'random' even if you choose 'repeat track' and click on 'next' - next track will be choosen randomly and will be repeated. I have 'next track' on global hotkey. And I just want random next track to be repeated if 'repeat track' is choosed after 'random'. Is it so difficult to understand? |

It is!
Please try once again to describe in calm words what you want to achieve in point1! Edit: Once again: "next" chooses next track - what else? "random" chooses random track - what else? Please note that we don't mean main menu -> playback -> order -> random but main menu -> playback -> random. In the toolbar it is the playbutton with the question sign This post has been edited by q-stankovic: Apr 3 2012, 22:00 -------------------- german support forum: www.foobar-users.de / user: qwert73

If all you want is Winamp-like functionality, just use Winamp. Foobar2000 doesn't try to imitate its behaviour.

1. a. Playlist is played randomly. Without changes of order of tracks.
b. Select 'repeat track'. c. Click 'next track'. Now next track will be next from list. But if 'random' was choosed before - more logically (and preferably for me) will be to choose random next track. Not next from list. But random. And if playback was standard - functionality is ok. Question is only about 'random' choosing of tracks which are repeated. I like foobar more This post has been edited by Llynx: Apr 3 2012, 22:04 |

Is it so difficult to understand? That was your question after xnow already told you that there is another command with the same name and before i gave you the same answer again. Just read what we write! -------------------- german support forum: www.foobar-users.de / user: qwert73
