UK IP review closes today

Submissions of evidence to the UK "Gowers Review of Intellectual Property" close today (Friday 21st April).

Specific issues include:
  • Current term of protection on sound recordings and performers’ rights
  • Copyright exceptions - fair use / fair dealing
  • Copyright – digital rights management
  • Copyright – orphan works
  • Copyright - licensing of public performances

The topics covered are:
    1. How IP is awarded
    2. How IP is used
    3. How IP is licensed and exchanged
