File info / database bug

Hello,

I just altered some ID3 (V1, I know fb2k doesn't support V2) tags, but the changes didn't want to show up in fb2k. I checked with winamp and MP3Tag-Studio, and all was like it should be - only the fb2k's playlist did show the 'old' tags.

I thought: ok, they're stored in the database and tried to use the 'Reload info from file'-option on right click... nothing happened. It only worked when I erased the whole ID3V1 tag, loaded the file in fb2k, closed it, restored the ID3V1 tag from the ID3V2 and loaded it again with fb2k.

Regards, fileman.

Close Foobar2000.
Open the Foobar2000 program folder.
Delete database.foo.

Your tags should now display properly.

Ok, this may be a workaround... but it's not a permanent solution, is it?

Ha! That proves the you shouldn't mess with too many new programs at once:

There isn't a bug in foobar2000 - the bug is in the user, me.

I tried 'frontah' (this new, great frontend) yesterday with these files... Of course Winamp and MP3Tag-Studio couldn't read APE2-Tags... and I expected there wasn't anything wrong with the tags. Also the 'Reload tag from file'-function did work, but it always fetched the APE-tag, which I didn't want (because that one was the 'old' one).

Problem solved!
