X-fi Titanium Windows 8.1 freezing

Hello, I've done some searching around quite a lot and havent been able to find a topic on the issue i've been having.  I recently bought a Pci-e Xfi Titanium, set up with the latest drivers, and now whenever I try to play music in anything but the primary DS device in Foobar, my pc freezes and then blue screens.  I have tried ASIO, and WASAPI and the behavior is the same on each.  I updated Foobar to the latest version, as well as updated any plugins and disabled ones I dont use and have had no luck so far.  Is there any reason something like this would happen?

I'd be happy to provide any logfile you think would be helpful.  The sound card itself seems to work just fine so far, watched two shows in netflix with no issues.

This is a driver issue. User mode programs such as foobar2000 cannot make the operating system crash. You could try if clean install helps. After regular uninstall extract the driver installer and run ctzapxx.exe from Drivers\support folder to clean any leftovers. Once this is done and you have rebooted you can try installing the latest drivers again.

Btw, I remember X-Fi drivers sometimes caused my machine to BSOD when I switched to ASIO output in foobar2000 while it was already playing with DirectSound output. It was easy to avoid this issue by first hitting Stop before switching to ASIO. I have not dared to try this with the latest drivers though.

Hmm, ok.  I suppose I'll test it with the exclusive mode disabled.  Kind of see what happens.

I had someone who runs the same operating system test ASIO output just now and the OS froze for him. I know this was not a clean driver install but an update, but it's starting to look bad for the drivers. If clean install doesn't help it would be best to complain to Creative's support. At least in the past they have fixed reported bugs.

Ok so it's not just me then.  I forgot to add that i'm using windows 8.1 on that pc, this issue didnt occur with my PCI X-fi on 8.1, however for whatever reason that particular card seems to be incompatible with my new motherboard so that was the reason for getting the Titanium.  I'll see if they're aware of this issue or if there's any known fix.  I know the bluescreen error it gives me is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.
