Hi!
Could anybody tell me an application name that can automatically decide from an mp3 that is a transcode or not? Eg.: i have some vbr stuff and I'm just curious those are from a real cd or just transcodes from poor bitrates (CBR 128 etc).. I used Adobe audition but i dont wanna see the waves in every single mp3s. Thanks (sorry about my english) |

Any MP3 is "transcoded" from something, I don't know who started this misuse of terminology (I'm not blaming you) but it's quite annoying and misleading.
There is no reliable way of telling whether something is a lossy-lossy transcode or not. If you are that concerned, buy the CDs yourself (eBay and Discogs are great for getting used CDs dirt cheap). |
