Is there any way to add chapter markers to an audio file? If so, how can it be done?

You could do this with MP4. iTunes uses the M4B extension for audiobooks which have chapter markers, IIRC.
Here's a link from a Google search: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146944 You may also be able to do something with MKV or OGG. It depends on your other requirements. You may also want to look at using cue sheets with MP3 or lossless files, which would achieve a similar effect. Edit: Also, looking at your bizarre subtitle text, I'm wondering whether you are trying to grab DVD audio and convert it to tracks. This is something that has been discussed on this board numerous times. The general consensus seems to be to use DVD Decrypter to rip to tracks in the first place. You could try searching this board on the subject, and include the word "decrypter". It seems that toast adds a minimum 1 sec pause between individual audio tracks imported, which as you can imagine, under certain circumstances is undesirable. Thanks for your reply, I've asked this question in different ways quite a few times but I get limited responses that make little sense to me. I'll investigate your recommendations and let you know what I find out. |

I would love to use OGGchapters on Vorbis music files. But the problem is: what player supports them ?
