Hi, I know this is easy in Foobar2000, but I need to do this from the command line, or programatically. I store my music in flac and mp3. When I copy mp3s to a usb stick (or primitive mp3 player), I would like to apply the replaygain from the tags directly to the mp3 data on the target device. I have written my own application for copying and transcoding mp3 files, so I would like to build this feature into the application instead of having to use Foobar to do this after I've copied the files. I was considering MP3Gain without the analysis step. The /g option will simply apply a gain to the file without analysis, however the gain units are not specified, and I don't think it is dB like ReplayGain. It seems to drop the fractional component when applying a gain of say -5.14. If someone can tell me the mapping from ReplayGain (specified in dB) to gain supplied to the MP3Gain command, that will be a big help. Alternatively, if there was a way of using foobar from the command line to do this, that would be simpler, or if anyone knows of some other tool or Java library. Thanks! Z Hi, i know u dont want to use foobar, but it has apply gain to mp3 data which applies it directly in the file, although it's not reversible.I have thousands of songs, and have used foobar to do this effortlessly. |
