SB Audigy 2 zs 7.1 bit-perfect recording

I would buy a good soundcard (but not professional - small budget) cause I would like to copy my old digital recordings to my PC (BACKUP). I heard that with the Audigy 2 ZS you can make a bit-perfect copy, I mean, no more DAC, no more conversions, is that really so ? If you know, how to do it, please HELP ! Or any soundcards suggestions ? Thank you !
