Ignoring MP3 and only playing FLAC version

I have both FLAC and MP3 versions of albums in my Music folder. Foobar is smart enough to only display 1 version in the album list, on the left. But when I drag that folder into the playlist pane, it plays with the FLAC and the MP3. Is there anyway to tell Foobar to ignore the MP3 version, and instead only play the FLAC? I would like to keep both version in my Music directly since I use the MP3s to sync to my MP3 devices that don't support FLAC.

I have a screenshot demonstrating the issue, but can't see how to attach it to this post.

Folder as in actual folder shown in Windows Explorer, or the group in the album list?

If the former, I assume your album list is configured to exclude the undesired file types, and excluding them from being added via Explorer should be as simple as adding an equivalent exclusion using Preferences.

Sorry, I meant dragging an album from the album list to the playlist.

I don't want to exclude an entire file type, because then I would either be exuding all FLAC or all MP3. I just want FLAC to take precedence over MP3, and not play both copies. The album list view is smart enough to only display 1 version, so I would have assumed the playlist view could do something similar.

As a workaround you may use .flac.mp3 (or something similar) as file extension for the MP3 transcodes of your FLAC files and then exclude those from your library.
