Which would sound worse: MP3 or transcoded AAC?

In theory, which one of these files would sound worst:

150 qaac transcoded from 320 mp3 or
128 mp3 transcoded from lossless

There is no theoretical answer to that.  You'd have to test it and arrive at an empirical answer.
