should i dedynamic stereo ac3

when i decode an 5.1 ac3 to wav , the channels are having to much audio dynamics. Normally i would dedynamic these wav's as specified in the ac3 spes.

Should i do this also on stereos or are they having a normal dynamic ?

Nope, all AC3 have this high dynamic range, even Stereo streams.

I recommend to use a 'light DNC' in Azid ( BeSweet, HeadAC3he, whatever you use ) on transcoding the AC3 and to adapt the final playback dynamic range with a suitable Dynamics compression DirectShow filter like dedynamic.ax ( BSPlayer, Zoomplayer, PowerDivX 3.12 ) based on the situation you're when watching the movie.
