sound spectrum, generate sound with IFFT

hello
Iam student from india trying to generate sound at a key hit at specific frequency,but Iam able to determine the IFFT values but how to determine the corresponding PCM(8bit) values to produce the sound, but these are in double format, I need them in unsigned char format .

how to proceed, please help
