Here are the samples to compare to my u-law topic. The linear 8-bit sample has been dithered in Adobe Audition 1.5 and the other samples were converted in Audacity 1.3 Beta (higher versions of those 2 applications somehow crash my computer). All samples were done from a 320 kbps mp3, which is not ideal but the usual reencoding warnings do not apply here as these are all very old, non-psychoacoustic formats of sound storage.
