Thrash (ex Orb) is making a new record

Thrash (aka Kris Weston) has just set up a Kickstarter project to fund his new album. It's all a bit of a long story, but you can read about it here:

Kris did a 1 hour long show at Resonance 104.4FM - you can download it here:

He talks about his new project and he's also put together some classy stuff for the show whilst showcasing some of his new stuff.

There are limited edition copies of laser etched vinyl and test pressings on offer, but if you want to just pay a quid, then you get full download rights to the .MP3 of the album and you can even share it with friends under Creative Commons. Free for use in films too, of under 10 minutes.

This album has been in the pipeline for a very long time and will not be available to anybody who has not backed the project. If he doesn't reach the goal the album doesn't get made. He's even chucked in DSP patches for backers and studio time for those paying a bit extra.

He will also be documenting it via a journal which there will be access to if you stump up 10 quid, for which you also get 24 BIT FLAC/WAV/AIFF Digital Download.

Kris has some serious musicians on board and some serious vision of what he wants to achieve. Check it out. It's got to be worth at least a quid for over 20 tracks though hasn't it? From the man that was the driving force of one of the world's greatest bands. Help him make it happen.

I'm sure there must be a few Orb fans here. The sonic experience of their early albums has rarely been surpassed (imho), and Kris was largely responsible for that.

Please support him if you can and pass this on to anyone you think might be interested in hearing the new ramblings of a rare sonic explorer.

:-)
