Eac: "can't Write To Drive.." Error?

Ok, I believe I have EAC set up correctly after doing a lot of reading here and on EAC's site, but I'm getting this error upon trying to rip an entire CD.  EAC will start to rip the first track,  then the Plextor slows down, then I get one of those blue-screen error msgs from Windows saying "cannot write to drive G".  Then, I'll kill the error screen and EAC will continue on, but shortly will the drive'll slow down again, and I'll get the same error again.  I can't figure it.  The drive is already spun up and settings appear correct in EAC.  The drive is a Plextor Plexwriter PX-4012TA.  I've been scratching my head over this for the past couple of hours  so any help is really, really appreciated guys.  Thanks.

Ok, I changed some things before going to work this morning and I was able to rip an entire CD now.  I changed the Read/Write offsets back to zero from +98® and -30(W), which has been reported to be the offsets for this drive.  However, I also disabled/unchecked that box to denote your CD being able to do CD-text and lead-in/out.  After work I'm going to putz with it some more.
