Very high CPU usage out of sudden

I have been using foobar2000 for quite a while and I am pretty impressed with its functionality and flexibility. However, recently it started to suddenly takes up 50 percent CPU, even as soon as I run the program and thus overheating my laptop . I tried almost everything, from disabling dsps/plugins, checking the consoles and processes with Process Explorer, doing system restores, virus/malwares scans but all up to no avail.
So I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and surprisingly the problem still persist. I checked the process explorer again and this is the CPU intensive process thread, which is labelled as foobar2000.exe+0x1119b1 ( it is similar to the one that I took before reinstalling )

I tried to disable foo_input_std but that does not change anything apart from the fact that I need to reinstall it again. I really really appreciate any sort of help for this issue and thanks in advance.

Which version of foobar2000 do you use? Which version of Windows do you use? Was there a notable hardware or software (foobar2000, OS, drivers, ...) change which triggered this behaviour?

It was version 1.2.6. After reinstalling it's the newest version 1.3.1 . I am using Windows Vista and so far I didn't remember any notable hardware or software change which triggered this behaviour. One possible factor that I thought of is that my music directory is located in a hard drive that is almost 100 percent full but I don't think that really affects anything.

Apparently the problem seems to occur when foobar is attempting to access my media library. Tried the portable version and it works without using up so much CPU.

Did you add or remove folders from your media library? When the high load occurs, what does the 'Preferences/Media library' say (monitoring, scanning etc.)? Does high load occur at all if you remove the folders from there?

It could potentially just be foobar rebuilding its database.

I'm betting this is the case. I have an older XP SP3 single-core desktop (which I seldom use) that foobar spikes at 50% usage whenever I fire it up because it's adding all the albums to its database that I've ripped or moved around in the interim. Sometimes it causes the comp to lock me out until it's complete. I'm actually afraid to update foobar to 1.3.x on it, LOL.

Additionally, if you have a sizable library and/or a slow library viewer (due excessive titleformatting or too much items drawn on screen) foobar will almost certainly become unresponsive while the database rebuild is ongoing and it constantly tries to redraw the entire library viewer screen in real time as each new item is added. You can either wait it out or preemptively disable (switch to empty titleformatting) said panels before initiating the scan, avoiding high load.
