I can't get 6channels sounds in my pc

I'm kind of newbie in this topic.
I have a Home Theatre Sony Muteki HT-DDW5500
I can connect to my PC the optical cable or the orange one (coaxial i think??)
My mother board is Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L and the driver for sound is Realtek HD
The problem is that I have several movies with DTS or 5.1 audio and I can't listen them that way. I tried with an audio test file and the sound is like stereo (although i set the HT to be DTS). I don't have that problem with the blueray player and I use the same cables.
What can I do?

Thanks a lot!

Check your audio configuration utility to see if there is a way to "passthrough" AC3 & DTS.
