LAME: no encoding progress shown with standard input, was: "Pipere progression" Options

When i use ogg:

piperec 44100 16 2 | oggenc -r -B 16 -C 2 -R 44100 -q 1 - -o test.ogg

i see progression in output:

Encoding standard input to
"test.ogg"
at quality 1,00
Encoding [ 0m15s so far]

When instead i use lame:

CODE

piperec 44100 16 2 | lame --alt-preset standard - C:\test.mp3

i not see nothing.
Do it is possible to have a progression output also for lame?
