Before anyone says "this has been asked before", I'm not looking for a foobar2000 plugin that will allow me to get music from Spotify; rather, I'm wondering if there's a plugin that would allow foobar2000 to update Facebook's Spotify application to display "I listened to X" on my news feed. I've poked around on Google quite a bit to see if such a thing exists, and so far the general results have been people looking for a plugin to play Spotify music in foobar2000.
I'd love to have the "now playing" features of Spotify, but don't want to use actual Spotify to always play my music, and there's no really well-supported application on FB for last.fm (my current "scrobbler"). That's all. |

Someone has already requested such a component, or at least a component for Facebook Open Graph, which would likely be able to fill in listen reports. If not for Spotify, then at least for foobar2000 itself. Then it was suggested that such functionality should not be separate from the AudioScrobbler/last.fm design, assuming that last.fm ever gets around to aggregating that information in that way.

Alright. Also, yeah, Last.fm has an unofficial Facebook application that polls the actual Last.fm page for playback data; problem is, it doesn't work in real-time, and honestly hasn't updated my played tracks in a good week or two. Most unfortunate, because I love Last.fm, and I'm just reluctant to play my tunes in anything that lacks foobar2000's DSPs, meters, etc.

Regrettably, that's the one that doesn't really work right. It takes hours or days for played tracks to actually be polled and posted. |

Seems it can be a couple of minutes off sometimes, and it submits several at once, so the time is wrong.
The best for now, but would be great to integrate in e.g. foo_audioscrobbler, perhaps. |
