Problem with tags using EAC then LAME

When I configure EAC to use LAME, the metadata comes across in the tags beautifully. The problem is, I would like to use my two drives to rip my library, then let it encode/compress overnight. When I do this, the metadata isn't being passed properly into lame for tag inclusion. Does anyone know how to get this to work, or maybe there is a third party tagger that can parse the filename appropriately? Thanks for any help I can get.
