I am new to EAC and have used the Hydrogenaudio configuration guide (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=EAC_configuration) to run through setting up the software. I am using EAC V1.0 beta 2 and LAME v3.98.3 for compression.
The only part I am stuck on is the "Additional Command Line Options" in the Compression Tab of the software. The config guide lost me here! I would like to rip MP3s at 256-bit VBR (what I understand to be best quality???) and really don't know what to input on this line. Any guidance would be appreciated - I just want to rip at what is considered to be the best quality MP3. Brandon |

1) LAME 3.98.3 is buggy and can create invalid MP3 files. Use latest version (3.98.4)
2) http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=EAC_and_Lame For best VBR quality, use "-V0 %s %d" |

Thank you for the reply. I have downloaded 3.98.4 but it is in a ZIP file. After unzipping, I do not see a .exe file to direct EAC to. In the past, I always downloaded the .exe file from the "LAME for Audacity" website because it has the .exe in the ZIP. Any suggestions there?
