Short answer: no, and there will probably never be.

No, foobar2000 is not able to play videos. Depending on the video (container) format, you may be able to play the audio tracks contained in the video. It is not planned to add video playback capabilities to foobar2000.

QUOTE (scoozer @ Jul 12 2005, 09:04 PM) I thought .pls files were playlist files. If so, then surely it must point at the video files. If so, just play then directly. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. In my fairly limited use of it, I would recommend BSplayer. However, it doesn't suppprt .pls files. You can change the video settings like contrast, brightness etc though. -------------------- http://www.health4ni.com/

You can save the pls file, open it with a text editor and get the video stream URL from it, and then you can play it with more players. IMHO.

Theoretically, you *could* create a Video Viewer plugin in the foobar2000 API, but it would mean coding a fully-fledged media player within an API that wasn't designed for such a task. In other words, at this point it is unfeasable to create such a thing.
Use VLC or just Winamp. |

You can setup the brightness (and many more) directly in display properties / advanced / overlay - if you have ati card. It is better then do it in player because it does not decrease the performance. |

Use ffdshow to increase the brightness and then play it in winamp if you like winamp. Personally I would use MPC or something similar.
