data flow with UPNP

Hi together,

when I used foobar as a upnp-server and also as a upnp-renderer (with a ASIO-controlled USB-soundcard connected) and control it by some upnp-control-app (eg. Kinsky which works well) - how is the data flow ?

As upnp is a network protocol I'm afraid that the data is going from the foobar-upnp-server out over the network, into the router, than back to the same PC into the foobar-renderer unit and then out over USB.

Or is foobar so clever that it keeps the packages within the PC ?
