Audioengine D1 DAC thoughts?

I'm thinking about getting a USB DAC and heard good things about the D1: http://audioengineusa.com/Store/Audioengine-D1

Anyone have this can share some opinions? Does it truly work with 24/96 files as well?

it has the same DA converter AKM4396 as E-MU 0404 USB . So, yes, it should be very good.
