Is there a way to burn a compressed cue sheet? I get an error when trying to load the cue sheet in EAC:
Error in CUE sheet ! File type is not supported in line 3 Line 3 reads: FILE "Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want.mpc" WAVE I also tried to load the cue in Daemon Tools and I get a similar error. I know that I could just covert the mpc to a wave, but I'd rather skip that step if possible. I'd like to store my Cds as compressed mpc cue sheets with accompanying mpc files. If I ever need to burn a copy, I'd like to be able to do so directly from the cue. |

Never mind. I found that using Nero I was able to burn the cue. However, I believe you have to have the mpc decoder plugin installed for this to work correctly.

Back to my original question -- can EAC burn a CD from a cue sheet that references a compressed file? or do I have to first decompress to a wave and edit the cue sheet?
I know that (as I listed below) Nero can do this and I also have used Burrrn which works well. |

QUOTE (Madman2003 @ Jul 15 2004, 08:55 AM) How? As you can see from my first post, I also tried an mpc with cue and got that error. Are you decompressing to wave first? I'm referring to a compressed image (not individual files). I most recently tried with flac and it wouldn't work. What am I doing wrong here? |

Are the decoders in your EAC folder?

Sorry i must have read over that little word "EAC" in your second post. (feels stupid now)
I really haven't a clue, so i tested and only mp3 and wav according to EAC. Sorry for the mixup.(thought you were still talking about nero) Madman2003. (I use burrrn for my cue sheets, as you said yourself it works, why not use that?) This post has been edited by Madman2003: Jul 16 2004, 09:33 |

The reason I wanted to use EAC was for the write offset. It's not a huge deal but I just wanted to try it out. |

QUOTE (dreamliner77 @ Jul 15 2004, 12:25 PM) Ok, I made sure I had mppdec.exe and flac.exe in my EAC folder. When I try to load the flac, EAC still gives me this error: Error in CUE sheet! File type is not supported in line 3 Line 3 says: CODE FILE "CDImage.flac" WAVE So, I'm guessing EAC doesn't know how to decode a flac and burn. However, when I load the cue for an MPC image, it seems to do some processing on the file. Execept then I get this error: Error in CUE sheet! INDEX position is behind end of FILE in line 7 Here is the CUE sheet where line 7 reads "INDEX 01 00:00:00": CODE PERFORMER "The White Stripes" TITLE "Elephant" FILE "CDImageMPC.mpc" WAVE TRACK 01 AUDIO TITLE "Seven Nation Army" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 AUDIO TITLE "Black Math" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 03:51:60 TRACK 03 AUDIO TITLE "There's No Home For You Here" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 06:55:52 TRACK 04 AUDIO TITLE "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 10:39:25 TRACK 05 AUDIO TITLE "In The Cold, Cold, Night" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 13:25:62 TRACK 06 AUDIO TITLE "I Want To Be The Boy To Warm Your Mother's Heart" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 16:24:20 TRACK 07 AUDIO TITLE "You've Got Her In Your Pocket" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 19:44:60 TRACK 08 AUDIO TITLE "Ball And Biscuit" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 23:24:42 TRACK 09 AUDIO TITLE "The Hardest Button To Button" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 30:43:42 TRACK 10 AUDIO TITLE "Little Acorns" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 34:15:62 TRACK 11 AUDIO TITLE "Hypnotize" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 38:25:05 TRACK 12 AUDIO TITLE "The Air Near My Fingers" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 40:13:40 TRACK 13 AUDIO TITLE "Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 43:53:65 TRACK 14 AUDIO TITLE "Well It's True That We Love One Another" PERFORMER "The White Stripes" INDEX 01 47:11:45 Anybody know what is going on here? |

I am having the same problem.. When I (with EAC) trying to write the CD, and trying to open a CUE I get the following error: "Error in CUE sheet !" "INDEX position is behind end of FILE in line 16" I can understand if the ripper did something which he was not supposed to do if he'd still want to be able to burn it in EAC, but is there a way Now to see the gap settings on the existing files? Insert the CD and tell EAC to create the proper CUE sheet to go with the tracks as you ripped them.
