Have a similar problem with cue files... Play counts from foo_playcount are working for mp3 files but won't for cue files. when i play from a cue and the counter is changed, the console says " file info update successful on : ***.cue" ... BUT it's not changed! when i look into "Properties..." of the song, i see the correct play count entry but its not stored in cue-file. so when i reload my file infos from file the counter is gone... strange.

Xenion:
Actually checked it with present compile - it works fine for me! Have u checked the file isn't read-only? And have u clicked on 'Update' or 'Rewrite file tags from database'? Morgensonne: I haven't use playcount plug-in, so I can't tell you why the file doesn't get updated. Maybe it's your foobar database preferences, maybe it's playcount preferences, anyway does manual update work on the same file? With the new Save Playlist as Cuesheet function, I get this:

Yes,
At present CUE export is at very first stage of implementation, so for now all indexes are predefined to 00:00:00. I need some time to make it read right indexes from other cue sheets. That's because for each song you need to open corresponding cue sheet and seek for those values, and that will take some time to implement. I can't think of any other use of INDEX greater than 0, though I'm sure there are some. -------------------- B KaCKe.

Uploaded new 1.3.1 version (Link).
Added correct index values reading from other cue sheets. Some bugs may be lurking though, so be aware and let me know. Cheers, Stepan -------------------- B KaCKe.

When i manually write an "Play_counter" tag to the properties field of the song and press update... i got a short message saying "update succesfull". Its also when i manually add a comment. But when i then press "reload info from file" the newly added fields dissappear cause they were not stored in the cue. And the cue file isn't read-only and the option "block tag update operations" isn't checked.
Don't know whats wrong. P.S. I recently tried to change some "REM DATE" tags i created some time ago (don't know how) manually... but nothing changed. I always get an "file successfully updated" but nothing changed inside the cue file. Even a "update file tag from database" doesn't work. I really don't know, how i created these "REM" tags? All i know it wasn't manually and was done by foo_cue_ex. |

Now it's getting really weird... my first tag lines of an cue file are:
PERFORMER "The Forth" TITLE "GU - After Hours - CD2" FILE "Global Underground - After Hours - Cd2.mp3" MP3 TRACK 01 AUDIO TITLE "Maccabea" PERFORMER "Balago" INDEX 01 00:00:00 REM GENRE Electronic REM DATE 2002 REM ALBUM ARTIST The Forth Now i have updated the tag information from the file and don't get a date for the specific song??? but there is an "REM DATE" field inside??? Is there maybe any "buffer" option in foobar wich blockes an instant file update? |

It really sounds weird to me too, because I think I've tried every possible cue sheet with every possible value and it worked fine for me
The only reason I can think of (judging by the ALBUM ARTIST tag) is that you still using the old version But, anyway the cue sheet from your last post looks ok. You've got 3 metafields for that track - DATE, GENRE and ALBUM ARTIST (which is the older version bug). Now if you press reload you should get them all as metafields in foobar2000 as well (though you'd better delete ALBUM ARTIST tag manually, otherwise you will be getting 'ARTIST The Forth' album) . But, anyway get the NEW VERSION first! P.S. D'oh, found a new bug myself This post has been edited by WigBaM: Jun 1 2004, 01:01 -------------------- B KaCKe.

ARGHHH .... It doesn't work.
Have taken a plain MP3 (no tags) and a cue with standard-tags (no REM). Searched the infos through freedb and updated the files (cue). It worked. Even changes of some fields through masstagger were written down to the cue file. Next test was to store some Replaygain infos and it also worked. But any other tags like "PLAY COUNTER" or "DATE" won't work. Always get the info of : INFO (CORE) : attempting to edit file info : file://C:\Temp\EBTG - Back To Mine.cue INFO (CORE) : file info update successful on : file://C:\Temp\EBTG - Back To Mine.cue and the file is modified, by having a look at the date-modified. But inside there isn't added any tag, like REM DATE or REM PLAY COUNTER. Don't know whats wrong. |
