From Windows Explorer, how can I drag-drop shortcut files/folders to m

Hello all, long time foobar user.. Foobar is usually very straightforward and easy to use and customize, but I'm currently stumped  .

Basically, I don't sort through my music collection in foobar. I have everything organized the way I want it in Windows Explorer, and I simply drag and drop folders and files from Windows Explorer into the Foobar playlist.

But I recently spent a lot of time making "compilations", where I simply made folders of SHORTCUTS that lead all over to their original files. I had no idea that I wouldn't be able to drag and drop these shortcut files right into foobar! I have to double click them individually, and then they will load into foobar.. so this means I cant say, select three shortcuts to mp3s and drag all three into the foobar playlist.

Is there any way I can do this? Some sort of change in foobar OR windows perhaps?

I'll appreciate any help I can get.. thanks!!

All you need to do install foo_lnk. Drag the .zip into your components (in the preferences).

thanks, that's a great find!

I installed it and while it works, unfortunately it only works one time. When I try to add a second shortcut, I have the original problem/(unable to play error), and have to re-open foobar to get it to add more shortcuts again. Any ideas?

It may sound silly, but when they say it requires foobar 1.0, do they mean I have to downgrade from my version 1.0.1?

No, it's 1.0 and up.

I'm not sure what's going wrong with yours. It just works for me...doesn't matter if I do them one at a time, or the whole folder, or what. This is with foobar 1.2.2, DUI, Win7 64-bit. Are you using the default UI, or CUI?

Just my luck

I'm running default UI, windows xp 32bit if that matters too.

I'll try it on my work computer tomorrow morning to get a better idea of whats wrong.

Thanks for the quick responses.

hmm, same problem on another computer.

Can only add shortcut(s) ONE time, then every shortcut I drag in after that gives me the error..

Any ideas what's going on here? Am I missing something? Perhaps something I need to change in Preferences?
