The new Cloud Player service adds a new “Save to Amazon Cloud Drive” button for saving MP3s to the cloud, as well as an option to upload music from a hard drive to a user’s Cloud Drive. Users are given 5 GB of free storage, but can get 20 GB if they purchase an album through Amazon. It’s $1 per GB after that.

Cloud Player comes in two flavors, an app for the web and an Android app counterpart.

I really don't understand these marketing terms, its stll the same old webstream people know, only with access to their own songs.....>_>

Well, it's marketing. If you're not using a new and flashy buzzword, you're not doing it right.

The functionality is pretty interesting, at least, though not of great use to me personally.

Open your eyes and do some reading (as apparently you don't code java/python) if you don't get it
And sure you can make crap app, but you can't blame 'cloud' arch for it

Google failed at being first in this part, as apparent problem with labels, and Amazon's fast pace caused him troubles with breaking some EC2 services (apparently again, unique service servers are not at same geo location)
