Currently both VU Meter and Peak Meter display values of signal from -60 to about +10 dBFS. My suggestion is that this could be configurable - in both visualisation plugins in the same way. My suggestion is that everyone could set up value from -140dB (or-145dB) up to 0 dB with increments of 10dB (or 5dB) as value for lowest displayed level. I propose minimal value of -140 (or -145) as 144dB is maximal theoretical value of signal dynamics for 24 bit signal. Other option for minimal value is -100dB (or -95) as 96dB is maximal theoretical value of signal dynamics for still most popular 16 bit/CD-DA format. I ignore 32bit/64bit signals as they aren't in wide consumer use - they mostly live in studio environment.
Is this possible to implement such option? |

that would be great, and I'd like to add some other suggestions which seem not implemented or I just can't find'em (sorry if that's the case, some help would be appreciated)...
I'd love to see a numerical value in the meters, revealing the exact value of that 'recent maximum mark' (don't know how to name it better) in both the peak and the VU. A fixed scale in the spectragram would also be useful. A metering cursor would also do the job. I found foobar and it's meters a very useful tool and I'm going to stick with it for everyday use. Great job! Thanks! |

I also propose to have the peak hold time (and peak segment color) configurable by the user.
Many thanks! Regards, Andrea |

Well... I think I revive this feature proposal. Additionally I think both kalamarcito and AndreaT suggestions are good completion to my request
