Also encoding the Transient/Tonal sample "Fugue Premikres notes" I added two further samples:

I performed the same ABX on 3.100.alpha2 but added a comparison with a -V5 and -V5+ encode from the non-Final version of halb27's lame3.99.5y (which still had a -V5+ mode which he had meant to disable).

CODE
This is the version I used for the -V5+ sample (UK date & UT/GMT+0 time formatting in Command Prompt DIR command):
08/03/2012  17:36           330,752 lame3995y.exe

and this is the version that disables -V5+ (producing -V5) instead, which I happened to use for the -V5 sample:
16/03/2012  23:52           331,264 lame3995y.exe

For simplicity, I haven't run mp3packer over the -V5+ encode, which came to 139.5kbps versus 113.7kbps for the standard, .

The 2 files encoded by 3.99.5yNotFinal and ABX logs are attached.

For completeness here are the encoder histograms:
for -V5
CODE

Nice sample, Poquito Mas. Thanks for it. I could ABX 3.100a2 -V2 too.
The significance of samples like these is that it's pretty simple natural music.
