Streaming Interne radio to DLNA renderer?

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to stream an Internet radio stream, playing in Foobar2000 (or in its UPnP Controller player?) to a DLNA renderer, namely an Onkyo TX-NR616 receiver.  I can play fine to the Onkyo receiver any audio file from my computer or from local network.  I tried adding the radio station m3u playlist to the UPnP Controller play list, but it doesn't work.  I've tried playing the stream in Foobar2000 and pressing the play button with a C on it (for capturing and streaming what plays in Foobar2000?), but no luck.  Is it at all possible to render radio streams on DLNA devices over the network?  Many thanks for any help!
