Mobile app battery life usage of Ogg vs. HE AAC

Does anyone have insight into the battery usage of mobile apps playing back audio using Ogg Vorbis versus HE AAC? My understanding is that for some (all?) mobile OS's that Ogg has to be decoded via a software decoder while HE AAC can be decoded more efficiently on hardware - but was wondering if anyone has insight into whether the difference is significant?

(Has anyone ever independently tested this? Does anyone notice or care?)
