I've tried RazorLame but it gives me errors using Lame 3.98 Alpha 7.

Which other lame frontends do you recommend? Preferably with a lot of options.

Use of Alpha versions of LAME is not recommended. They are meant for testing only.

The current stable release of LAME (3.97) works fine with the current version of RazorLame (1.15b).

As an alternative to RazorLame, I definitely recommend ALL2LAME.

I will be releasing Omni Encoder 1.0 this weekend. It started out as a Lame frontend, but evolved into a multi-format one. You are free to only install the codecs you desire, though.

Try it out once I've posted the news item!

Not recommended, maybe, but I'm daily listening to 3.98a6 (V0 -new vbr) MP3s in my car and on my DAP and they sound superb. No reason to discontinue its use for me.
