Sorry if this has been posted by someone before. Just wanna to share a link sources for good old day audio codecs...
From the world 1st MP3 encoder L3enc.exe by FhG, Psytel AACenc and ect...most zip files are still downloadable. Since the original site http://www.rjamorim.com/rrw is not available anymore, this is the only link I found is still work. For newbiez, this is a good history class for evolution of audio coding technology, for expert, this is a place for your old memory...peace http://web.archive.org/web/20070803234203/...w/programs.html |

I remember decoding with the original FhG encoder on my 486, which operated at something like 0.01x, and being stunned at the quality. It's amazing how fast technology has moved since then. That being said, the fact the archived version doesn't have executables is a bit of a let-down. This post has been edited by Chu: May 26 2012, 21:21 |
