Add silence to a converted track

Hi, I am looking for a possibility to add 2-3 seconds of silence to tracks I convert to another format. It must be at the beginning of the songs. I can create a silent track with Audacity, but i dont know how to add it at the beginning for all the songs.

You can add silence as a playlist item using File->Add location-> silence://x where x is the number of seconds of silence you want. Put it before the track you wish to convert.

From there you just selection the two tracks from the playlist and pick: Merge all tracks into one output file in the destination section of the converter.


This obviously isn't doing it in a batched way.

Yeah, thats the problem, i want to do that for over 1000 songs, this would be to much work

You can use the Post-track silence (foo_dsp_silence) plugin to add a DSP in the converter settings. Unfortunately I only inserts silence at the end of a track.

Yeah, i am looking for something like this, but it has to add silence at the beginning!
