Scan-mode playback plug-in

Greetings,

In foobar2000, sometimes I miss Scan playback mode like some CD-players have when player plays only first 10 seconds of each track and then skips to the next.
I need some help to find out whether this can be implemented as a plug-in that adds such button and mode. If not, then how this feature can be added to foobar2000?

That's exactly what I was looking for. Then there is no need to develop it ...
