Well, last night there was a really strong correllation between my eating speed and playing Irish Punk drinking songs (Flogging Molly, The Pogues, The Mahones) but that's not causation; that's just me being cheerful and energetic to begin with, thus influencing my music selection, and having cooked a delectable meal, thus influencing my self-gorging.

All very unscientific but I've noticed that on a long motorway journey I tend to drive faster if I'm listening to something up-tempo. Especially if I'm really listening and enjoying it rather than it just being background music. Not sure about eating though.

I tend to drive more dangerously while listening to rock music than something like classical, but that might be the air guitar, the air drums and the air microphone singing.

You could compare the body mass index of rock singers and opera singers

Since rock music covers a ridulously wide range of styles and sub-genres you really can't say one way or another
I tend to listen to a variety of metal and I don't drive any faster when listening to the likes of Megadeth than when I'm listening to Crowbar who are at opposite ends of the speed scale |

Due to the fear of burning the roof of my tongue or biting it, I would not like to test this out lol.

Since rock music covers a ridulously wide range of styles and sub-genres you really can't say one way or another Obviously, so called "classical music" covers much wider range of styles than rock music. So it's even harder to say. -------------------- Ceterum censeo, there should be an "%is_stop_after_current%".

I listen to fast metal mostly (death/black) but I did not observe any urge to eat/drink more/faster after/while listening to it.
What I did observe, though, was that the faster the tempo, the faster I worked (I'm a C/C++ programmer). Sometimes I tend to think about a certain problem for quite long before typing in the code but when there are some blast beats going to my head, this seems to take much shorter (almost like unblocking me/waking me up/pushing me forward). -------------------- HD 238 Sansa Clip+ Vorbis q6; HD 380 Xonar DX FB2k FLAC
