Hello,
I'd like to install a music player on my server (in my case Windows HomeServer 2011), configuring it to play everything using DLNA/UPNP directly to my amplifier. As remote it would be great to use my android phone. The player i'd like would use minimum resources and has no need for eye candy. I use other programs for sorting and tagging my music files. I'm searching the web to find a player that I could use, and have the impression that foobar comes very close, but perhaps there are other solutions. Grtz, Sam |

I found bubbleupnp to do what I wanted.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118891 BubbleUPNP and Foobar installed on the server, Bubble UPNP on my phone as remote. Once the playlist is loaded, my phone doesn't need to be connected. Will look at other suggestions, thanks! Next thing I will be looking for is simultaneous streaming to multiple devices :-) Sam |

I've registered to say that asset is tho only server I've managed to work (in fact just after installing it works fine) after two or trhee trials (one of them from a prestigious software firm). Good software (asset, I mean) |

Hi,
I use WD Live Book as an DLNA server, and Arkmc as an Android DLNA server/controller/player/renderer. Works good for me. |
