Alright, I know with EAC you can set it to rip a cd and add the WAV file to a queue to encode while ripping, continually ripping the cd while doing so. My question is: is there anyway to rip the cd continiously while adding the files to queue, then encode after the cd is done ripping, still adding the tags and other information. I would use the other method, and have it encode while ripping, but I've tried that in the past, and I get several read/sync errors while the encoder is running.. anyways, any help or information with this would be nice.

AFAIK there's no way to do that in EAC itself, but perhaps with help of MAREO it could be done somehow?

If I can't get it to work I'll post back here or something *shrugs*.. Anyways, thanks again for the suggestion. -Phil -------------------- http://www.last.fm/user/mattimeo18

QUOTE (HisInfernalMajesty @ Sep 20 2004, 09:57 PM) ... My question is: is there anyway to rip the cd continiously while adding the files to queue, then encode after the cd is done ripping, still adding the tags and other information. ... I do not have EAC available at the moment, but I do believe that what you want is possible. If I remember correctly, there is an option to let the queue sleep as default. You rip as normal, and when you are done ripping you simply activate the queue, and all the tracks begin compressing. The option is in there somewhere, so keep on looking. (or at least it was in older versions) Edit: I did some searching and found a thread on the official EAC web forum about this feature. This is a quote from that thread: QUOTE To rip and then compress separately:
1) Need to have "On extraction, start external compressor queued in the background" (Use 1) checked located in EAC Options->Tools. 2) Check "Make all compression tasks sleep" located in Database-> Compression Queue Control Center 3) Rip the songs 4) after you are done ripping all the songs, goto Database-> Compression Queue Control Center, uncheck "Make all compression tasks sleep" and press OK....it will start compressing the songs you ripped This post has been edited by ancl: Sep 21 2004, 00:12 |
