(Overview)
QUOTE DVD ReBuilder was built to bridge the gap between the incredibly easy but limited "one-click" solutions and the incredibly complex but high-quality methods of DVD ripping and backup. A major advantage of DVD-RB when compared to older methods is that it doesn't require access to an expensive authoring package. DVD-RB includes its own authoring engine that reconstructs the DVD in a way compatible with its original design. DVD ReBuilder is currently in beta form and undergoing heavy development by it's author, jdobbs. DVD Rebuilder combined with Cinemacraft Encoder produces very high quality "one-click" DVD-9 to DVD-5 video copies & will only cost you $59 (price of CCE) it is however currently also the slowest. (Changes) QUOTE - Corrected error in which the "all contents of VIDEO_TS..." message was not suppressed when "Suppress Warning Prompts" was selected. Thx to jhmac. - Changed output to .ECL files so "seq_endcode=1" is set for still frames this has been reported to fix problems associated with stills and BOV. Thanks to wmansir and Sir Didymus for researching, finding, and testing this fix. - Corrected an error associated with CCE Basic that caused a "cce encoding failed: MPVA ... qsv 112 > 112" -- caused by an average bitrate that was calculated to an exceptionally low value. - Fixed an error in which only the last two digits of the segment number were displaying in the status window. Thanks to jptheripper for catching this. - Fixed error in which the the "Shutdown" options were not working correctly with Windows 2000 computers (stopped at the "SAFE TO REMOVE POWER" prompt). Thanks to archaeo for pointing out this error. Doom9.org hosts the DVD Rebuilder forum, bug reports can be posted here & a guide can be found at Doom9.org This post has been edited by westgroveg: Jun 29 2004, 04:06 |

Ooh...
*Except for quality* -------------------- "Taking a jazz approach and concentrating on live playing, I wanted to use several different rhythm sections and vintage instruments and amps to create a timeless sound that's geared more around musicality and vibe than sonic perfection. The key was to write with specific rhythm sections in mind, yet leave open spaces for soloing." Lee Ritenour

Yes. And with the exception of support for ReJig, DVD Rebuilder is completely different from the rest. If you need to compress further and want to maintain the highest quality possible, then DVD-RB is there for you. -------------------- Gur svggrfg funyy fheivir lrg gur hasvg znl yvir. Jr zhfg ercrng.

I must agree with mobius.
However, for all my needs Recode2 has done the job suitably. For more on this topic people should (at least) look here, and (preferably) check out the doom9 forums. This post has been edited by dub_doctor: Jun 30 2004, 09:16 |
